Appointment of Hojjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Haj Seyyed Ahmad Khomeini to Membership in the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution

Hojjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Haj Seyyed Ahmad Khomeini (may his success continue)

The Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution, which is among the valuable legacies and memories of the late Imam Khomeini (may his soul be sanctified) and one of the most beneficial high-ranking revolutionary institutions, is now at a critical juncture in its existence.

The policy-making of cultural issues on the verge of drafting the second five-year plan, particularly guiding the organized movement to confront the cultural invasion of the enemy, as well as the continued quantitative and qualitative expansion of universities and research centers, are among the matters that make the role and status of this supreme council more sensitive and necessitate its strengthening with fresh forces. Therefore, I appoint you, who, thanks be to God, are yourself a cultural figure, committed and interested in fundamental efforts in the cultural arena and have clear precedents in this field, to its membership. The expectation from you and the other honorable members is that you consider the culture of the revolution and cultural transformation as your dearest and primary objective, and conduct all the decision-making of this supreme council with this criterion. I ask God Almighty for the success of all.
