Decrees for the Appointment of the Head and Members of the Policy Council of the Representation of the Guardianship of the Islamic Jurist in Universities

In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The growth of pure Islamic thought among university sectors, especially students who are the future leaders of the country, and the utilization of the God-given talent and enthusiasm of this valuable segment of society to spread correct thinking and elevate pure religious faith at the national and global level, have been among the great objectives of the Islamic Republic, and commendable efforts have been made in this path. The echo of the call of our great Imam Khomeini (may his soul be sanctified) will always remain alive in the atmosphere of the country, as he considered a faithful and devout university guided by divine direction as one of his great aspirations and recommended the cooperation of religious and academic scholars in this path. Undoubtedly, the presence of religious scholars and young faces from the seminary in the academic arena of the country in past years, managed by the council of Ayatollahs and Hujjat al-Islams, including Mr. Mohammadi Gilani, Mahfouzi, and Jannati, has left many blessings and effects and has paved the way for another stage of this valuable jihad, and it is appropriate to sincerely thank them and all their colleagues in the universities.

Now, at the beginning of a new period, I appoint Mr. Jannati, Dr. Javad Ejei, Ali Razini, Seyyed Reza Sadr, Mahmoud Mohammadi Araqi, and Gholamreza Mesbahi as my representatives in this great task for policymaking and guiding the general movement of religious scholars in universities, and Hujjat al-Islam Mr. Seyyed Reza Sadr as the head and executive director of this institution. The main duty of this institution is to ensure the knowledgeable and guiding presence of aware and pious clerics familiar with university issues in the country's universities and their continuous, correct, and intelligent movement to illuminate the environment of studies and research with the light of faith, righteous action, political awareness, and revolutionary and Islamic strategy. University officials are obliged to assist them in fulfilling their great responsibility according to the statute of this institution, which is approved by me, and the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution and other relevant councils should provide the necessary regulations for this work. I ask Almighty God for the success and prosperity of dear students and all diligent and serious young people of our great country, as well as the servants and activists in university affairs.
