Appointment of Members to the Broadcasting Policy Council

In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

As has been stated repeatedly, the role and responsibility of the broadcasting organization as the primary means of public communication necessitate that its programs, whether cultural, religious, social, educational, political, scientific, or otherwise, be governed by a well-considered and correct policy and approach, endowed with logical strength, so that the broadcasting organization may truly become a university and a means of intellectual and scientific growth and religious and practical guidance for society.

To this end, it is necessary for a group of distinguished and qualified experts to undertake the task of determining the general policies and outlining the practical approach of this great institution. Now, with gratitude for the efforts of Hujjat al-Islam Mr. Doagoo over the past nearly three years, I appoint the individuals named below as members of the Broadcasting Policy Council and entrust them with this important and critical responsibility:

Hujjats al-Islam and gentlemen: Mohsen Doagoo, Mohammad Hashemi, Mahmoud Mohammadi Araqi, Mohammad Javad Larijani, Mohammad Hassan Zoragh, Masih Mohajeri, Ataollah Mohajerani, Majid Ansari, Gholam Ali Haddad Adel, Hossein Shariatmadari, Ahmad Pournejati, Mehdi Eragani, Mohammad Hashem Rahbari, Mohammad Ali Zam, Iraj Shagerf Naghai, Seyed Mohammad Sadr, Mahmoud Abdollahi, Mehdi Faridzadeh, Mehdi Kalhor.

The duties of the former head of the Policy Council remain with Mr. Doagoo. It must be emphasized that the aforementioned council will not interfere in the executive affairs of the organization, and these matters are entirely the responsibility of the organization's director, who must act according to the general policies and approach provided by the council. I ask God Almighty for the success of all.
