Statements of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces at the Joint Ceremony of the Armed Forces in Kermanshah

In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

I extend greetings to all dear commanders and members of the units stationed in this field and all the devoted and brave armed forces in Kermanshah province, including the Army, the Revolutionary Guard, the Basij, the Law Enforcement Force, and the tribes, and I pray to the Almighty God for your increasing success.

This barracks and this region remind us of many glorious memories. The brave men, the self-sacrificers, those whose hearts were filled with love for Islam and our dear Iran, made sacrifices in this area. Their determination overcame the steadfast mountains of this region. They were able to defeat the armed enemy supported by the devils through divine grace and the descent of divine angels, bringing honor, dignity, and security to their country. We will not forget those days. Those days are a lesson for us, and we have always given ourselves the promise that our youth, our dear ones, our armed forces in various organizations will become more prepared, more faithful, more determined, and more steadfast day by day.

The armed forces have the privilege among all the servants of Islam and the country that, firstly, they are the guardians of security. If the security of a country, of a nation is taken away, the path to all progress will be closed. Security is the fundamental, essential, and vital foundation for all work. Knowledge, progress, technology, wealth, and spirituality will be achieved in the shadow of security. The armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran are the guardians of security; they consider it their duty to maintain the security of the country's borders and the public space; and this is a great privilege.

The second privilege of the armed forces is that they risk their lives in the field of service. The youth, commanders, and fighters of the armed forces prepare themselves with eagerness for self-sacrifice and enter the field; this is the characteristic of their Islamic faith. Here, there is no imposition, no pressure; here, motivation springs from within.

If the material powers have the trouble of the frayed nerves of their soldiers in various regions of the world, the armed forces of the Islamic Republic have the privilege and honor that their forces present themselves in the field with the motivation of faith; this is a great privilege. Self-sacrifice, devotion, and readiness to give one's life are what make wearing the sacred uniform of combat and military a great honor for any human being; appreciate this, be proud of it, and act according to its conditions.

My dear ones! The Islamic Republic system and the great nation of Iran and our dear country have shown over the past three decades that they possess increasing power. The imposed eight-year war on our country and our people showed everyone that aggression against the Islamic Republic is costly. It was not just the Saddam regime against us; the Saddam regime and the armed forces of Saddam were supported and endorsed by the great devils of the world and the Great Satan - America. The defeat of the invading forces against our country was, in fact, a major defeat of the armed powers of the world and their devilish policies; they realized who they were dealing with; they were facing the Islamic system. The brave people of our country have supported and continue to support the armed forces. The Almighty God helps you; He has made the hearts of the people kind towards you. Today, the armed forces are respected and honored in the eyes of the people. These are great privileges.

Dear brothers! Dear youth! Honorable commanders! The duty of our nation today is a grave and sensitive responsibility. Today, many opportunities are before us. The arrogant powers are trying with various policies to promote Iranophobia and Islamophobia in the world. You see their various actions. For Iranophobia, for Islamophobia, foolish and absurd methods have been repeated many times, and their ineffectiveness has been demonstrated, yet they are repeated again by the confused and distressed Western policymakers and their allies. These methods have not yielded results so far. They have not been able to achieve their devilish goals.

Today, Iran, the Iranian nation, and our faithful forces are dear in the eyes of the Islamic countries; today, the Islamic Republic system is dear in the eyes of the nations of the region; this is exactly the opposite of the policy they wanted to implement. They will repeat these policies again, and they will again be met with a slap in the face; they will again test the tested, and they will again taste the bitter flavor of defeat.

Today, the arrogant regime of America is facing problems. The quagmire they have created with their own hands in various regions is drowning them. The American regime cannot extricate itself from the quagmire it has created in Afghanistan; because it does not know the way out. They cannot free themselves. With material means, with a material outlook, with an arrogant perspective, with a spirit of aggression and entitlement, one cannot advance in a world where people are awake today. Work progresses with logic, with reason, with spirituality; this is the method that the Islamic Republic has adopted.

My dear ones! Be happy, be joyful. God willing, you are under divine mercy, you are under divine support. The Almighty God helps you. Verses were recited at the beginning of the ceremony: "Indeed, those who said, 'Our Lord is Allah,' and then remained steadfast, the angels descend upon them, 'Do not fear and do not grieve'; do not be afraid, do not be saddened, God is with you. 'We are your allies in this world and in the Hereafter'; the angels are your supporters in this world by the command of the Lord.

O Lord! We swear by Your saints, by the sacred words of the Quran, and by the spirits of the faithful martyrs, keep us increasingly committed to the covenant we have made with You. O Lord! Grant Your grace and mercy and guidance to these dear youth, these responsible and committed commanders. Unite the souls of our martyrs with their saints, with the Prophet and the martyrs of Karbala.
