Statements at the Meeting with Officials of the System and Ambassadors of Islamic Countries

In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Thanks be to God, the Lord of the worlds, and peace and blessings be upon our master Muhammad and his pure family, especially the Awaited One among the inhabitants of the earth.

I congratulate you, esteemed attendees and ambassadors of Islamic countries present at this session, and all the great and faithful nation of Iran and the entire Islamic Ummah on this great blessed Eid. We ask the Almighty God to make this Eid truly blessed for the Islamic Ummah and to grant it as a holiday.

Eid al-Fitr, as mentioned in the supplication of the Qunoot of the prayer, is a source of honor, a source of dignity, a treasure for the sacred existence of the noble Prophet, meaning for Islam and the Islamic community. It seems that one of the most important factors and elements that can be a source of honor and dignity for the noble Messenger of Islam and the Muslim people and the Islamic Ummah is the unity of the Islamic Ummah and the resolution of differences.

Dear brothers and sisters! Today, the policy of global arrogance is to create divisions and conflicts among Muslim nations and even within nations, among the individuals of those nations; this is the policy today. This is a plot designed by the schemers and conspirators of the criminal America and the Zionists for our region, which is one of the most important Islamic areas, and you are witnessing its signs: the tragic events in Yemen, the events in Syria, the events that occurred in Iraq, and the rest of the Muslim countries. The way forward is for the Muslim nations to discover the main point; that main point is the enmity of global arrogance with the Islamic community and the Islamic Ummah; this is the essence of the matter. They must stand against the policies of global arrogance; this is the duty of governments, the duty of political officials, the duty of religious, cultural, and political elites in all of the Islamic world. Another fundamental point is the issue of the Zionist regime, which has been implanted in the heart of the Islamic world to create discord, to incite, to fabricate issues.

The Zionist regime will not endure; all historical experiences unequivocally teach and clarify this to us. The Zionist regime has a fundamental problem. The Americans and the agents of the Zionist regime and some weak-willed governments following America today think that by establishing open or hidden diplomatic relations with the Zionist regime, they can solve its problem; no, the problem of the Zionist regime is not the existence or non-existence of diplomatic relations with governments. If now two or three governments establish relations, breaking the taboo of relations with Israel and extending a hand of friendship to the Zionist regime, it will not solve the problem of the Zionist regime; no, the problem of the Zionist regime is fundamentally its illegitimacy. The Zionist regime is illegitimate; the establishment of this regime was based on a false foundation. A nation was forcibly expelled from its own country, through slaughter, threats, and armed force, a historical nation; the Palestinian nation was not a fabricated and newly emerged nation. The country of Palestine is the same; can they erase the map of Palestine from the historical memory of the geography of the world? Is this possible? Now, even if they compel a few weak-willed countries in the region to establish diplomatic relations with the Zionist regime, it will not solve their problem; their problem is illegitimacy.

The foundation of the Zionist regime in this region is weak, unstable, and erroneous; this is not something that governments can resolve. Some countries in the region that have a longer history of relations with the Zionist regime— I will not name them— actually, the sentiments of their people towards the Zionist regime are much more intense than those of other countries. The issue is the issue of nations; the illegitimacy of the Zionist regime is inscribed in the hearts of the Islamic Ummah and is not erasable; with the efforts of the White House and the transfer of the embassy to Jerusalem and with these statements, they cannot solve this problem; this problem is not solvable. And undoubtedly, this regime, which has been established on a false basis, will be destroyed and eliminated by the grace of God and with the efforts of the Muslim nations.

Like all free countries in the world, the people of Palestine— the true Palestinians— must be consulted; whether they are Muslims, Christians, or Jews; those who are Palestinian, not those who have entered Palestine from elsewhere. The opinions of those who are Palestinian must be referred to, and they should determine the governing system of the country of Palestine; that governing system will decide regarding those who have entered this region, namely the Zionists and their leaders and others. The solution to the Palestinian issue is nothing but the destruction and elimination of the false and fabricated Zionist regime that is currently in power; and this will undoubtedly be realized in the not-too-distant future— it cannot be specified when; a future that is not far away— certainly, by the grace and power of God. If this happens, the Muslim nations in this region will be able, God willing, to achieve their unity.

The factor of division in this region is the existence of this enemy; a common enemy always creates unity, but here it has acted in the opposite way; this enemy has become a source of division, a source of hypocrisy, a source of treachery among some officials of Islamic countries. When this is eliminated, countries can come closer together and can maintain their unity and agreement, and Islamic dignity lies in the unity of the Islamic Ummah; the Islamic Ummah must, under the shadow of unity, God willing, reach the pinnacle of elevation and will reach it.

We hope that the Almighty God, on this Eid al-Fitr and in all blessed and auspicious days, grants good to the Islamic Ummah and bestows upon all members of the Islamic Ummah and all Muslim nations the success to make serious movements in this path.
