Statements at the Meeting with Officials of the System and Ambassadors of Islamic Countries

In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

We congratulate you on this great and blessed Eid, to you esteemed attendees, the officials of the country, the honorable ambassadors of Islamic countries, and to all the people of Iran and the Islamic Ummah. We hope that the Almighty God, by the blessing of the supplication and repentance that the faithful nation and the Muslim Ummah presented before the Lord of the Worlds during the month of Ramadan and on this day, will bestow His mercy, grace, support, and guidance upon this great Ummah.

The manifestation of this blessed Eid is in devotion, worship, and the solid ranks of prayer. Today, in all the Islamic world, people stand in unified rows for congregational prayer and humble themselves before the Lord. This is a spiritual and heartfelt bond among the Muslim Ummah. This unified row must be formed among the Islamic Ummah to confront the important issues of the world, many of which are related to the Islamic Ummah and its destiny.

If these hearts unite, if the divisions created by the enemies of the Islamic Ummah and the enemies of Islam are removed, then hands, steps, abilities, and thoughts will also align in a single direction and will demonstrate effectiveness in confronting the great front against Islam and the Islamic Ummah.

This is a reality that today there exists a front against Islam and Muslims. They spoke of it - in fact, it slipped from their hands - and referred to it as a crusade a few years ago. This means that the Islamic Ummah is facing a threat from the enemies in a unified manner. It is a mistake to think that the enemies of Islam and Muslims consider this part of the Islamic world as an enemy and that part as a friend; it is not so. They oppose the Islamic Ummah because, in the essence of Islam, there is a resistance against the oppressors and the dominators. They are confronted with Islam; they oppose Islam. This is our duty; it is the duty of the entire Islamic world.

And today we observe that, fortunately, many nations have become familiar with truths that perhaps were not clear to them for decades. Today, the issue of Palestine is a living issue for the Islamic world. The enemies of Palestine did not intend for this; they wanted to isolate this issue, to make the country called Palestine forgotten, to erase it from the geographical scene; that was their intention. Today, fortunately, the Islamic nations are aware and alert, and they are concerned about this issue. Some governments cooperate, while others fall short; however, all nations want this, and it will undoubtedly come to fruition; and various issues of the Islamic world.

This is a great lesson of Eid; the intertwined hands of Muslim brothers in all Islamic countries. Everyone must work in this direction; we all must work in this direction. And this, God willing, will progress. And the day when the Muslim nation - with its vast breadth and profound depth - enters global issues in a unified manner, undoubtedly the issues faced by the Muslim nation will be resolved in their favor; unlike today, where the divisions and fragmentation in the Islamic world prevent this from happening; but day by day, God willing, we are getting closer to the unity of the Islamic Ummah.

And our dear nation is fortunately a model in this regard; it is an example. Our nation is awake; our nation is united; our nation follows global issues with interest and concern; it addresses the issues of the Islamic world; it takes a stance on them, one example of which is the massive rally on Quds Day that took place throughout the country - in all cities, and even in many villages - where people gathered, marched, and chanted in favor of their Muslim brothers whom they have never seen and do not know personally; however, they consider their issue as their own. This is due to the blessing of faith; due to the blessing of Islamic awakening. And this is the path that our great Imam - may God's mercy and pleasure be upon him - laid before us, and we are following this path, and the threats, oppositions, hostilities, and malicious actions that one observes in various parts of that vast front will not be able to deter this nation from this path.

We hope that the Almighty God will bestow His blessings and mercy upon you dear nation even more, and may His grace encompass all of you, and we hope that the Almighty God will open the doors of relief for the Islamic Ummah day by day.
