Statements at the Meeting with Officials of the System and Ambassadors of Islamic Countries

In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

I congratulate you on this great Eid - which can perhaps be said to be the greatest Eid and the sweetest memory in all of history for all Muslims, and indeed for the human community - to you esteemed attendees, dear guests, representatives of the Islamic countries present at this session, and to all the people of Iran who have sincerely and honestly followed the path of that great man and continue to pursue this path with struggle and sacrifice, and to all the Islamic Ummah, and to all the freedom-seekers of the world.

Regarding the night of the Prophethood, it has been narrated that the heavens have not cast a shadow like that night; that is, no night in the course of history was like the night of the Prophethood, when the next day the esteemed Prophet was called by divine address, commissioned with this great and everlasting mission throughout history. The Prophethood was a great and difficult task. The greatness of all works is proportional to the problems and obstacles that arise in the way of those works. Small tasks have small obstacles; great tasks have great obstacles and oppositions. During the blessed life of the Prophet - both in the Meccan and Medinan periods - the obstacles against this invitation were continuous and from various sides. This is not unique to our Prophet; all prophets and all missions faced such oppositions; of course, in the case of our Prophet, these oppositions were heavier, more severe, and more comprehensive; "And thus We have made for every prophet an enemy, devils among men and jinn, inspiring one another with adorned speech as a delusion"; the devils among men and jinn assist each other against the divine invitation, against the path of human happiness. "And let their hearts incline to it who do not believe in the Hereafter, and let them be pleased with it and let them earn what they are earning"; that is, the ignorant hearts, the simple-minded hearts, the hearts without contemplation and insight also accept these opposing cries, these oppositions against the divine invitation, against the invitations of the prophets. This began from the time of the emergence of the Prophethood and continued in various forms until the end of the Prophet's blessed life and continues to this day. Wherever there is a call for truth, there is opposition from the devils; wherever there is the path of the prophets, there is also the path of the opponents of the prophets.

Of course, the movement of history is towards truth; that is, if you look at the general course of history, you will see that the invitation of the prophets has become more enduring, more widespread, and more familiar to the minds and hearts of people day by day; the devils work, but the nature of the world and the movement of the world is towards truth, and this exists; there are always hearts that understand the truth, divine knowledge, and divine truths and ethics spread in various forms in societies, but oppositions exist in various forms, and today there is still opposition.

Today, after the non-divine and material invitations, whether the invitation of Marxism, which once attracted the world's attention, or the so-called humanistic and liberal invitations, which have seized civilization in many parts of the world, have shown that they cannot provide human happiness, hearts are turning towards Islam. Wherever the voice of justice and justice-seeking is raised, this is the voice of Islam, even if those who raise this cry do not know where it comes from; wherever the call for human dignity is raised, this is the call of Islam, the call of religions; and of course, the center of all this is the center of Islam and the center of faith, and wherever the Quran is believed in and held dear, naturally the enmity of the enemies of Islam and the Quran is greater there; today you are witnessing this.

In the world, policies are behind those sick and malicious minds that confront the Prophet of Islam in a derogatory manner. It cannot be believed that the insults to Islam and the anti-Islam and anti-Muslim sentiments in the world continue and spread without the hands of security services and without the money of the powers; today you see examples of this in the world; this is the same struggle against Islam. Of course, they also find excuses. Sometimes deviations occur in our actions as Muslims, stagnations, rigidities, wrong actions, which the devils use as a pretext for "And let their hearts incline to it who do not believe in the Hereafter" to be realized; Muslims must be aware of this.

The invitation of Islam must be spread with clarity, courage, and sincerity, along with the main pillar of the invitation of Islam - that is, justice - in the world. It is said: "And the word of your Lord has been fulfilled in truth and justice"; these two are the characteristics of the divine invitation; the characteristics of the divine word are: "truth and justice"; Muslims must show this in the world. This will direct hearts; it will convey the message of Islam to hearts. Of course, enmities also exist and will continue. We must stand against the enmities, just as the Prophet stood; just as the believers in Islam and believers in truth and justice have stood throughout history.

Today, we Muslims need vigilance; we need to recognize the overall map of our lives and the confrontation of enemies with ourselves and with Islam. If we recognize the map, we will choose the right path. The problem is that sometimes we Muslims do not correctly recognize the enemy's map, and we ourselves become part of that enemy's map; unfortunately, today the Islamic world is afflicted by this. The enemy's map is to sow discord among Muslims; the enemy's map is to incite the sectarian sentiments of different Islamic sects against each other; the enemy's map is to divert the attention of the Islamic Ummah from the true point of enmity and hostility - that is, the corrupt and corrupting capitalism and Zionism - and direct it to other places.

One day, the Islamic world confronted the usurping Zionism, and the enemies in their propaganda said this is anti-Semitism; whereas it was not anti-Semitism. In Islamic countries, Jews live alongside other religions - Jews, Christians, Muslims - together. Today in our country, there are Jews, Christians, Muslims, and some other religions present, and under the security of Islam, all live together. The issue is not anti-Semitism; the issue is the confrontation with the usurping, aggressive, cruel, and hard-hearted Zionism; this was falsely distorted, saying it was anti-Semitism; but today the Westerners themselves are afflicted with anti-Islam and anti-Muslim sentiments. In the Western world, you see; they incite waves of anti-Muslim sentiments, support them, back those who insult Islam and the great Prophet - this is anti-Islam, this is from there - and within the Islamic community, they promote sectarian strife, promote Shia-phobia; this is their policy: Muslims should fight each other, become preoccupied with each other; Shia against Sunni, Sunni against Shia; so that the attention is diverted from the main point of enmity, so they do not understand who is currently confronting the Islamic world, they do not understand who has laid dangerous traps for the Islamic Ummah. We must understand these; both the nations must understand, and the politicians must understand, and the intellectuals must understand.

Let us recognize the enemy's map. If we recognize the enemy's map, the possibility of devising a strategy against this map will arise; but if we do not recognize the enemy's map, there will be no possibility of devising a strategy; we will make mistakes in finding our own path, we will make mistakes in our actions. The enemy's map is this: to occupy Muslim nations with each other, to create discord among them - as you see today they have instigated - thousands of people are killed, blood is shed, Muslim nations remain oblivious to their main issues, neglect the necessary progress they should pursue, so that the interests of the colonizers, the interests of the oppressive and tyrannical powers are secured; just as they did one day with colonialism.

Let me tell you; in history, the Westerners will not be able to cleanse the stain of colonialism from their skirts. The slogans advocating human rights, the slogans advocating democracy, will not be able to erase the actions of the self-proclaimed and pretentious Westerners in Asia, Africa, Latin America, and in every corner of the countries that have been under colonialism for years. They did this with colonialism one day; today they pursue the same map in a different form, pursue the same goals; well, we must be awake; we must understand what we are doing; we must recognize our own roadmap.

Today, for Muslims, unity and agreement, empathy and cooperation, are among the most urgent and necessary matters. We call upon all Islamic countries, all Islamic governments, to employ insight; to see who they are facing; not to make mistakes in recognizing the enemy, not to make mistakes in recognizing the enemy's plans; to understand what the enemy is after and to know that the happiness of their nations lies in this.

We hope that God Almighty, by the blessing of the day of the Prophethood and by the blessing of the blessed and sacred name of the Seal of the Prophets, God willing, will make all Muslim nations familiar with their own path; will awaken all of us from the sleep of negligence, and God willing grant us success so that the Islamic Ummah moves towards the peaks of happiness.
