Interview of the Supreme Leader during the Voting of the Second Stage of the Eighth Islamic Consultative Assembly Elections

In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The importance of this election period is the same as the importance of the previous stage of the elections. The second stage is equally important as the first stage; and the same motivation, the same feeling, and the same spirit of duty and responsibility that compelled all of us to go to the ballot boxes in the first stage, is exactly the same spirit and sense of responsibility that calls us this time to go to the ballot box and cast our votes. There is an old saying throughout Iran: "Who completed the work? The one who finished it"; this is about completing the work.

God willing, our dear nation will strive in the constituencies where the elections have reached the second stage, and come to the ballot boxes so that a good vote is gathered and a good parliament is formed, with God's grace and assistance, God willing.
