Funeral Ceremony for the Corps Commanders
In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Another group of the best have departed, and we are still here. Two weeks ago, martyr Kazemi came to me and said, "I have two requests from you: one is that you pray I become honored, the second is that you pray I become a martyr." I said, "It is truly a pity for you to die; you who have gone through these important times should not die; all of you should become martyrs; however, it is still too early, and the country and the system still need you." Then I said, "The day I was informed of the martyrdom of Sayyad, I said, 'Sayyad was worthy of martyrdom; it was his right; it was a pity for Sayyad to die.' When I said this sentence, martyr Kazemi's eyes filled with tears, and he said, 'God willing, they will also inform you of my news!'
The distance between death and life is very short; it is just a moment. We are busy with life and oblivious to the movement that everyone has towards meeting God. Everyone meets God; each in their own way; some truly meet God with honor, and Ahmad Kazemi and these brothers were certainly among them; they had worked hard.
We must strive to meet God with honor; because from now until a moment later, we do not know if we will cross this border or not; it is possible that in just one hour or one day, it will be our turn to cross this border. Let us ask God that our death be a death that, God willing, will also be a source of our honor.
God willing, may God protect you all.
