Meeting and Allegiance of Various Segments of the Nation with His Eminence

In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

I reciprocally extend my heartfelt and brotherly condolences to all of you dear brothers and sisters, especially the esteemed scholars, the revered clergy, the honorable Friday prayer leaders, and the dear families of the esteemed martyrs who have traveled with sincerity and affection from distant places, and also to those who have made this journey on foot.

It is fitting that on this occasion, and for the purpose of learning, a brief reference is made to the life of Imam Baqir (peace be upon him). This noble figure, whose Imamate lasted about eighteen years, was a perfect model of tireless struggle and effort, filled with challenges, for the propagation of religion and the word of truth, and for initiating a correct intellectual movement in the world of that time. The goal that the Iranian nation strives for today—reviving the word of truth in a materialistic, decadent, misleading, and corrupt world—was a task that Imam Baqir (peace be upon him) undertook almost single-handedly with the help of a few companions in the vast world of Islam at that time.

After the victory of the Islamic Revolution, the leaders of global propaganda created an uproar over the spread of the revolutionary culture of Islam, attacking it under the guise of exporting the revolution—with the false meaning they attributed to it. All media across the world emphasize that the Islamic Republic seeks to export the revolution! Their malice lies in presenting the export of the revolution as the export of explosives and the creation of conflicts around the world, which is another vile trick of Western propaganda.

Exporting the revolution means exporting the human-building culture of Islam and exporting sincerity and insistence on human values. We take pride in this task and duty. This is the path of the prophets, and we must continue this path.

Does the Western world and the leaders of the corrupt and decadent Western culture not feel ashamed of exporting corruption, immorality, addiction, and various forms of misery and disgrace to the entire world? This culture of immorality, which unfortunately has spread worldwide, especially in the impoverished Third World, where did it come from? This is one of the exports of Western culture and colonial and arrogant civilization. The various forms of corruption and decadence that pressure humanity today, and the dangerous addictions that have ensnared the youth in many poor and underdeveloped countries, where do they come from? The wrong consumer culture imposed on many Islamic and non-Islamic Third World countries, where does it come from?

If you enter the markets of the poor countries in our region—oil-rich and non-oil-rich—you will see that the propaganda and advertisements for unnecessary and excessive Western consumer goods have filled their living spaces. Did humanity need these things?! Oil-producing countries give away the God-given wealth belonging to all people, which should be used for the development and prosperity of their countries, in exchange for items that have no effect other than decadence and corruption in life. All these are exports of Western culture and America and Europe to Third World countries.

America and Europe and Western countries, amidst the good products of their civilization—such as industry, science, and research, which belong to all humanity and are not exclusive to any group—have introduced various forms of evil, corruption, and decadence into Third World countries, afflicting and humiliating the people, youth, governments, and nations, and bringing them to ruin. They do not feel ashamed of their actions and even take pride in exporting their vile products to other countries!

Why should we be ashamed of exporting monotheism, the ethics of the prophets, the spirit of sacrifice, sincerity, and moral purification to other countries?! Why should we be ashamed of presenting and teaching the correct zeal and resistance against false powers as a practical lesson to other nations?

Nations do not believe that it is possible to confront the agents and mercenaries of the arrogant powers. We confronted them and were victorious. Why should we not share this action and experience with the public opinion of nations? We export this revolution. We have no hesitation in exporting monotheism, the doctrine of the prophets, pure and clean human methods, patience, resistance, and sacrifice to other countries. The Western media, which are run with Zionist money and the schemes of wicked, oppressive, and corrupt politicians, want to create an uproar and make us regret saying and doing that the culture and concepts of the revolution must be exported.

If the intention is that we export explosives, this claim is false. This is done by the vile, wicked, arrogant apparatuses themselves. It is the American intelligence agency that enters the scene to overthrow governments, bringing weapons, explosives, and forces, and assisting counter-revolutionaries in revolutionary countries. We do not take explosives to any country. Sabotage is beneath us and does not stick to us, and anyone who says otherwise is lying. These inappropriate accusations are fitting for those who attribute them to Islam and the Islamic Republic.

Who today provides weapons, ammunition, and missiles to the illegal government established in East Beirut, allied with Israel and America, to crush Muslims? Terrorism is America's work. The American government, which destroys a passenger plane with hundreds of passengers, is a terrorist. The Saudi government, which martyred hundreds of women, disabled, and sick people in such a day in the sacred sanctuary of God with such a pitiful situation, is a terrorist. Terrorist acts are far from the revolutionary nature of the Islamic Republic and Islam and the Iranian nation. Names like terrorist are fitting for those lowly people who are themselves the world's greatest terrorists.

Exporting the revolution, meaning exporting revolutionary values and exposing the tyrants and oppressors of the world, is our divine duty and obligation. If we do not do this, we have been negligent. The Islamic Republic and the Iranian nation and that great and noble personality who made the world small and humble before his greatness showed that all the powers of the world are small in the face of such a great and steadfast determination, which is Islamic and belongs to all the people.

Thanks be to God, the Islamic Republic is firmly established on solid foundations, and the most important foundation of this Republic and the firmest pillar of this tent is you, the people. Any government that has your strength, determination, awareness, and readiness is invulnerable. Of course, this factor is not easily achieved. Unless the system is built on a firm belief and sincere faith, people will not give their hearts to the system in this way. Winning your hearts is beyond human capability.

Your love for Imam Khomeini (may his soul be sanctified) was not created by himself; rather, it was created by God. The unity, solidarity, love, sincerity, steadfastness, and unity of word you show, and the decisive presence you demonstrate, is the work of none other than God. No one can say I did this. Even the Prophet of God (peace be upon him and his family) could not do such things. The Almighty God said to His Prophet: "If you had spent all that is on earth, you could not have united their hearts; but God united them." This is God's work.

During the peak of the movement, it was God's work; during the ten glorious years of our dear Imam's blessed life, it was God's work; today, it is God's work, and God is with this nation. If you people did not have sincerity and sacrifice and did not show dedication, God would not support you in this way. This is the art of faith and righteous action. Wherever there is faith and righteous action, God's grace exists; "Whoever is for God, God is for him." These are not lies; they are the realities of the world of existence. When a nation puts itself in the service of God and divine goals, God also puts all the forces of the natural world in the service of that nation and includes them in His grace.

You managed the war well and brought it to a good end. You supported your Imam well, listened to him, and made him happy. Imam Khomeini (may his soul be sanctified) left this world satisfied with this nation and joined the divine realm; this is very important for a nation. You endured the challenges well during the sensitive and important first ten years of the revolution. You showed growth, awareness, and understanding, and after the heavenly departure of that great figure, you showed good loyalty; now, with your iron fists, you strike the enemy well.

These are actions that count as the righteous deeds of our nation, and the Almighty God will reward them. Just do not forget that we must preserve these. We must not forget that the divine system is not a system without account and reckoning. Be with God, so that we always have victory and are considered an honorable and dignified nation in the world; "You are the superior ones if you are believers." Thanks be to God, you are honorable, and by God's grace, you will always be so.

Brothers and sisters! Preserve this unity of word, love, and affection. Thanks be to God, you are a mature nation. Perhaps few nations in the world are as politically mature as our nation. Recognize the ways to destroy unity and how the enemy enters and confront it. Maintain the presence in the arenas of the revolution and the support for the system and the feeling of owning the revolution and the country that all our people have; this is the main secret. If these are preserved—which, of course, by God's grace, they will be—all the great powers and all the plotters and schemers of the world are small and incapable of harming you.

God willing, all the good and blessings of the world will flow towards you and your country; this is also God's promise: "If the people of the towns had believed and been God-conscious, We would have opened upon them blessings from the heavens." The Almighty God will send His material and spiritual blessings. Indeed, the Iranian nation deserves to receive material and spiritual blessings as a reward from the Lord of the worlds.

May God, God willing, grant you goodness. I thank all the dear brothers and sisters again. We have affection for all of you dear brothers and sisters who have come with this sincerity, and we take pride in spending our lives alongside you in the path of God's pleasure and advancing towards the lofty Islamic goals.
