Statements of the Supreme Leader at the 'Morning Ceremony of Imam Hossein University'

In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Thanks be to God for granting me the opportunity to meet with you dear ones, who are among the best youth of this nation and country. The name, content, purpose, and everything about this university is attractive and beautiful for anyone who holds the fervor and love of Hosseini in their heart. Today's ceremony is also profound, beautiful, and inspiring. We hope that God will always keep you in the path of Hosseini and honor you with more guidance, enlightenment, and steadfastness in your movement towards Hosseini goals. The presence of the blood-stained flag of Hosseini before our eyes is an extraordinary manifestation. I explicitly state that Imam Hossein University, thanks be to God, has had desirable quantitative and qualitative growth since our last visit, which was perhaps about eight years ago, especially in recent years.

My dear ones! I believe that in all areas related to human beings, growth and the means of growth are divinely ordained. Anyone who does not utilize the tools of growth that God has placed within them and in the world around them, and does not bring about God-willed growth in themselves and their environment, is ungrateful for the blessings. This is ingratitude for personal blessings by an individual. In social matters, in issues related to nations, communities, and human gatherings, ingratitude pertains to human rights, which is in no way forgiven by the Lord. 'Have you not seen those who exchanged the favor of God for disbelief and settled their people in the house of ruin? Hell, they will burn therein, and wretched is the settlement.' (Ibrahim: 28-29) This is the Quranic warning about such individuals.

My dear ones! A person, especially when their heart is enriched with knowledge and faith like yours, has great potential for growth. Human societies, composed of such individuals, can advance to the extent that they fill the dark world with light. This is the light that God bestows, but through human hands. 'God is the ally of those who believe; He brings them out from darkness into the light.' (Baqara: 257) This is the light you see signs of and feel its presence. This is the light of faith, the light of Islam, the light of love, and the light of compassion for humanity. It is the light of seeing and recognizing oppression and despising the oppressor. These are things that, today, by the blessing of Islam, exist in our country and system. You must utilize these as much as possible. You must take advantage of this environment for greater growth and pride.

You are young, faithful, and revolutionary. Thanks be to God, you are nurtured by the Quran. The environment for progress is ready. Your eyes and hearts are enlightened. Therefore, you must advance. Thus, as our dear brother, the commander of the university, reminded us, I emphasize the previously stated principles and standards, namely being scientific, military, spiritual, and mystical, and constantly progressing.

I emphasize the military aspect of the university. There are many universities in the country, and they are increasing day by day; however, a military university, one that supports the scientific and organizational needs of a large organization like the 'Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps,' must exist. It cannot be easily overlooked or disregarded. Some think that if we focus on appearances or military uniforms or formations and such things, it suffices; but this is superficial thinking. Every appearance in this field and arena indicates a real and inner matter. External order brings behavioral order and order in the battlefield, and gives us order in the great global alignment. From here, let me state the main point that the main issue is the global arrogance's comprehensive alignment against the word of truth. The alignment is not against Iran as Iran; it is not against a nation, a race, a people, because of that people; rather, the alignment is against the truth. Some people's water does not flow with the truth. Those who want to plunder the world and those who want to shape the entire geography of the earth according to their arrogant desires cannot coexist with the truth. Because the truth does not tolerate and endure the movement of falsehood. Look at the world today: a notorious terrorist whose background is clear, whose usurping and oppressive behavior, his actions against a nation, his efforts against humanity, and his oppressions are not hidden from anyone among those who gathered in occupied Palestine in recent days, shed crocodile tears and mourned the loss of a very oppressive and loyal colleague to the goals of arrogance, dies, and while all of them know him and know what path he was on, they mourn for him!

I have no concern for the nations influenced by Zionist media propaganda. They may be mistaken. Public opinion is changed by public media; but among the leaders of global policies, there is no one who does not know that 'Fathi Shaqaqi' was a martyr for a human value. Today, who does not praise and admire a soldier fighting to reclaim his home from occupiers? Why are the commanders of wars and the dedicated soldiers disabled in liberation wars respected everywhere? Why is the tomb of the unknown soldier respected as a symbolic movement everywhere? What has this soldier done? This soldier or that commander or that war-disabled person in Africa, in Europe, wherever you look, has done the same thing that the oppressed Palestinians are doing today; their dedicated commanders are doing, and their lonely martyrs are doing. Anyone who adheres to human values admires these from the depths of their soul; but in the martyrdom of martyr Fathi Shaqaqi, no eye of the arrogant eyes wept. Not a drop of tear fell from the eyes fixed on their animalistic desires. Then they shed tears for his killer and for a notorious terrorist!

Woe to the nations whose leaders are such people! One's heart aches for a nation like the American nation that has such petty, weak, and devoid of human values leaders. Now, I do not want to mention 'King Hussein' and the likes of him, whose servility has been evident to all for many long years.

This is the world scene. These are the hands that shape global movements towards specific goals. This is the trace of the bloody, disgraceful claw of Zionism on the world political scene, whose manifestation is also America.

Of course, know that it will not remain this way. If a revolution is imagined in the future in the United States of America, the start of this revolution will be such that the American people will rise and tear apart the American Zionists who are currently dominating the entire existence of that country. 'And indeed, your Lord is in observation.' (Fajr: 14) It will not remain this way; but for now, it is so. Because they see that in this corner of the world, the brilliance of truth illuminates the space, they are forced to act falsely, to shoot, and to attack.

Today, by the grace of the Lord, the Islamic Republic stands courageously and without a trace of fear or hesitation on this path and for this goal to expose falsehood. Of course, we do not want to invite the world and the various forces of the world to a direct military confrontation. This discussion that 'we will defend and strike the mouth of any aggressor' is another discussion that is preserved in its place. The Iranian nation and the Islamic Republic system do not engage in military belligerence in any way; but it will expose and clarify the truth and will insist on the truth and will not yield to falsehood. 'I do not worship what you worship. Nor are you worshippers of what I worship.' (Kafirun: 2-3) As long as you exist, as long as you have these foundations, and as long as you move from that origin, you will not accept our words. It is impossible for the front of falsehood to accept the word of truth. 'Nor will I be a worshipper of what you worship.' (Kafirun: 4) I will not incline towards you either. This is the word of the Islamic Republic.

Some think that the blessed Surah 'Say, O disbelievers' is a Surah of peace, while it is a Surah of war and alignment and the separation of paths. Today, whether you want it or not, the world knows that there are two factions. Today, there are many among the leaders and rulers and people of the world who admire you and the Islamic Republic nation for its resistance, for its readiness, for not yielding and not fearing. Although some express it and some do not. You must be organized in the face of such an organized movement. The Islamic Republic system must be a manifestation of order. However, order in the realm of the life of a country and a great nation of sixty million is one thing, and in the realm of a military organization, it is another.

Today, the army and the Revolutionary Guard are two military organizations that serve side by side under a unified command, under the sacred name of 'the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.' The soldiers of both military organizations are soldiers of God, soldiers of the Quran, soldiers of truth, and soldiers of the highest human values that no one can deny. Each also has a specific responsibility. The Revolutionary Guard has this great privilege of being born of the revolution. 'A mosque founded on piety from the first day is more worthy for you to stand in. In it are men who love to purify themselves.' (Tawba: 108) The pure and luminous faces and hearts in this university are the beginning of the birth of a guard in the future organization of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. In the early days of the revolution, during the war and before the necessary preparations, there was no opportunity for these things. Not that these things were bad at that time; but there was no opportunity and possibility. But today, there is opportunity and possibility. Therefore, this university must be a manifestation of faith and piety and order, a manifestation of truthfulness and purity and honesty, and a manifestation of enlightenment and intellectualism. This university must set an example for the outside. The youth of this university, when they go outside, must be a model of a faithful and revolutionary youth and show the highest and maximum to the rest of the country's young generation. This is what we expect from here. Thanks be to God, today the path is also this path. You must follow it and strive in this path. My emphasis on militarism, like the emphasis on knowledge and piety and spirituality, is based on a philosophy. In the revolution and in Islam, we do not have any superficiality and form without meaning and spirit at all. Every form has a meaning, and every word has a substance. If we expect something, it is because we cultivate its philosophical root with full belief in our hearts. In the case of Imam Hossein University, which thanks be to God, its name and origin and other characteristics, and today its flag, are Hosseini, it is the same. Be Hosseini and remain Hosseini. Cultivate and grow yourself in the Hosseini field and know that the path to worldly and otherworldly happiness is this, and God Almighty will help you.

I am also very pleased and happy today to see this very good and beautiful scene and the appearances indicating interesting meanings. God willing, in the continuation of the visit, we will see more and better things. Of course, I was previously informed about the issues of this university; however, what we have heard and read, we saw and will see today with our own eyes.
