Speech in Meeting with Various Groups of People and Foreign Guests Participating in the Fajr Decade Ceremonies

In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Although our lives and existence are filled with the memory of the great departed Imam and the unforgettable divine leader, in these days when the memory of the renewed life of the Iranian nation and the revival of the pure Islamic life, with the determination and strong will of that great and magnificent personality, is more alive and prominent than ever.

The goal of all the struggles that the Iranian nation, under the leadership of Imam Khomeini (may his soul be sanctified), undertook to achieve the victory of the revolution and all the efforts made in this country after the victory of the revolution was to establish the pure Islamic life. Islam considers a suitable and worthy way of life for humans. Only if these conditions are realized can a person achieve happiness and perfection. The efforts of all humanitarians, great guides of humanity, the great prophets, saints, and the Mojahedin in the path of God throughout history have been to create this pure life for humanity. On the other hand, all the efforts of the enemies of humanity, devils, and tyrants have been to distance humanity from this pure life. Therefore, the element of faith and enmity with devils and tyrants has been a main component of the call of all prophets, and the practice of the Prophet of Islam (peace be upon him and his family) was also based on this point.

In history, you will never find a rightful claim that has not fought against devils and tyrants, and the tyrants and devils and oppressors have not faced it with hostility and hatred. Today, all the efforts of global arrogance are focused on silencing any voice raised against the ruling global system. Since the victory of the Islamic Revolution, the voice of Islam has been the strongest and most confident cry raised against the unjust order of global arrogance. For this reason, today the greatest effort of the enemies and tyrants is to silence the voice of Islam.

In the eleven years since the victory of the revolution, the extent to which the apparatuses of arrogance and the custodians of the ruling global order—whether propaganda and cultural apparatuses or political, military, and economic apparatuses—have worked and acted against the Islamic call, especially the center of the revolutionary Islamic call, namely Islamic Iran, has not been matched against any other event or phenomenon.

It is good that today, on the anniversary of the victory of the revolution and the arrival of Imam (may his soul be sanctified), we clarify in a short sentence what our goal is and what the enemy's confrontation with us is about, and also clarify how far this arena of struggle and this scene of confrontation extends and where it will reach.

I say that in the confrontation of the dominant world powers with the revolution and the Islamic Republic system, the issue is pure Islam, free from the distortions of the agents of global arrogance. For us and our enemies, the issue is Islam. We confront arrogance because of Islam. Global arrogance, led by America and beneath it all the dominant satanic apparatuses of the world or even non-dominant apparatuses working for the interests of arrogance, aims to confront Islamic Iran solely because of Islam. There is no other issue involved.

We fight for the realization of the pure Islamic life, not only for ourselves but for humanity. This does not mean that we want to launch military campaigns to see where the agents of arrogance have violated the pure human life and fight them! This war is not of this kind. Our effort in the base of Islam is to prove that humanity suffers under the heavy and evil shadow of the current dominance of arrogance over the world and is getting closer to misery day by day, and Islam can save humanity. We have proven and will prove that Islam can confront the great powers of the world and disrupt the unjust order of the world. Arrogance is sensitive to this point.

Any nation, call, or system that accepts the culture of global domination, arrogance can get along with it and has no argument with it. Any culture, nation, or system that rejects the culture of domination—that is, the rule of the lords of wealth and power and the emperors of global power—is despised in their eyes. Today, Islam and we reject this system of domination in the world, condemn it, and hold it responsible for the misery of nations and people worldwide.

We have not been and will not be alarmed by the accusations that the propaganda apparatuses dependent on the West direct at our revolution, country, and nation. From the beginning of the revolution's victory, the most reactionary reactionaries in the world accused our nation and revolution—which had carried out the most progressive forward movement of its time—of being reactionary!! I must say that this accusation does not alarm or fluster us.

In the political field, too, they have directed various accusations that they know are undesirable and ugly for the nation and the Islamic system in Iran at our revolution, nation, government, and country. They themselves know that these accusations are contrary to reality; but to undermine the prestige of this revolution in the eyes of millions of Muslims and even non-Muslims—who have looked to this revolution and become hopeful—they spread these accusations and present them in the mass media.

The main issue here is that in the confrontation between Islam and the satanic power apparatuses, the victor is Islam, and we see this today. Despite trying with various false propaganda to make the Islamic call in Iran appear ugly and relate it to sectarian, tribal, and racial issues and create discord among Muslims and emotionally separate the Islamic Iranian society from other Muslims, you see today that around the world, the call and invitation of Islam and the enthusiasm for this religion have filled the world. This is the progress of Islam. Global arrogance cannot claim that it can exercise power against Islam. This is an example of it.

The imposed war they initiated not only failed to defeat the Islamic Republic and the Islamic Revolution in Iran, and with economic, propaganda, and cultural siege, not only did they fail to harm this revolution and system, but they could not even prevent the radiance of the truth of this revolution throughout the world. See today in Europe and in the heart of Western civilization and culture, which considers Islam its enemy and fights against Islam, what excitement the Islamic call has created. This is the truth, and the future is also subject to the same truth that the great prophets have foretold and Islam has promised us.

Islam will triumph over all the machinations of its enemies. If one day they told us or other ordinary people around the world that in the heart of Europe, people would organize out of enthusiasm for Islam, it would have been hard to believe. If they said that an empire built on materialism and opposition to God would disintegrate, it would have been hard to believe. If they said that in reactionary and seemingly Islamic countries, but in reality condemned by powers dependent on the West and anti-Islamic apparatuses, progressive Islamic movements would emerge, it would have been hard to believe. If they said that in the farthest corners of Islamic countries, Muslim people would move, rise, and sacrifice with their faith-driven motivations to raise the word of Islam, it would have been hard to believe; because the ruling apparatus of global arrogance and satanic domination had arranged everything in such a way that spirituality and religion—and especially Islam—would be completely removed from the scene. But the divine miracle was realized, Islam came to the scene, and it removed and continues to remove its opponents from the scene.

Today, of the two political and economic poles of the world—the Eastern pole and the Western pole—the Eastern pole has almost disintegrated, and something called the Eastern bloc is no longer a topic in the world. No one believed this. I say the circle of expansion and influence of Islam will go much further than this, and humanity in the not-too-distant future will witness the collapse of Western dominance and the culture of domination and the anti-values ruling over humanity, and what today is called the Western bloc that oppresses and wrongs the world will disappear, and this is one of the blessings of Islam.

In a future that will not be very far, humanity will witness the usurping Zionist government being forced to retreat, and the oppressed Palestinian nation will achieve their rights. This is the nature of the times and the current trend of truths in the world, and Muslims must prepare themselves.

Faithful and believing Muslims must know that today is the day of Islam and the main role and turn of this religion. Islam will progress and, God willing, will dominate the scene of human thought and the realities of life. In the Islamic Republic system, following our late great Imam—that exemplary personality of today's world and one who was of the type of God's saints and part of the series of God's chosen ones—we will pursue the path of adhering to the positions of Islam and confronting tyrants with power and decisiveness, and we believe that the future belongs to Islam and this religion.

I extend a warm welcome to all of you dear brothers and sisters who have come from various places, especially the guests of the Fajr Decade who have come from other countries, and I ask Almighty God for the success of all of you.
