Statements of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Friday Prayer Sermons in Tehran

In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful Thanks be to God, the Lord of the worlds. We praise Him, seek His help, believe in Him, rely on Him, ask for His forgiveness, and send blessings and peace upon His beloved, His chosen one among His creation, the keeper of His secrets, and the one who conveyed His messages, our master and prophet, Abu al-Qasim al-Mustafa Muhammad, and upon his pure and chosen progeny, especially the Awaited One of God among the inhabitants of the earth. And send blessings upon the leaders of the Muslims, the protectors of the oppressed, and the guides of the believers. I advise you and myself to have piety towards God.

I recommend all brothers and sisters who are attending the prayer to observe piety and to be vigilant about their behavior, speech, and even their thoughts and mental inputs. The month of Ramadan is the month of storing piety. Let us seek help from the Almighty God so that we can prepare a valuable reserve of piety during this month for the rest of the year and for our entire lives.

Today, in the first sermon, I will present a statement from Amir al-Mu'minin (peace be upon him) that relates to his will to his children and descendants. As he himself wrote in this letter, according to the narration in Nahj al-Balagha, the audience of this will includes all those who receive this letter; that is, we are also the audience of the words of Amir al-Mu'minin (peace be upon him). This is the well-known will in which he states after a few lines: "I advise you and all my children and family and whoever receives my letter to have piety towards God and to organize your affairs and to reconcile among yourselves." Approximately twenty matters are mentioned in this will. It is evident that the will of a great person, especially when it is written in the last hours of his life, includes the most sensitive matters in his view. Amir al-Mu'minin (peace be upon him) wrote this will after the blow from Ibn Muljam; "when Ibn Muljam struck him." The approximately twenty matters mentioned in this will are important. The topics include worldly desires, the Quran, pilgrimage, jihad, orphans, neighbors, and so on. I have selected two matters from these twenty to present today: one is "organize your affairs" and the second is "reconcile among yourselves"; that is, to create affection among brothers. From this, it can be understood that these two matters are among the very important topics in the view of Amir al-Mu'minin (peace be upon him).

Organization is one of those subjects that when a person delves into its meaning, concept, and function in their life, they understand its importance more. Organization means that everything is in its place. The world that has spread around us humans, in the earth and the sky, is a regulated system. Law and order govern all events and occurrences in the world and the movements of the tangible world and the universe around us. Humans are also one of the components of this orderly world. The natural life of humans also has order. Blood circulation, heartbeats, the breathing of the lungs, and the other movements and interactions that exist in the human body are all subject to order. If a person's actions and behaviors are orderly, harmony between them and the surrounding world will be achieved. Order gives a person the opportunity to use everything appropriately and ensures that nothing is left idle. If disorder arises in the human body, it is accompanied by illness, or it is called illness. The same applies to human behaviors—whether in individual life or in social behaviors—therefore, order is important.

Of course, the scope of order is vast. From the private life of a person and within the room where they live or work, order is discussed—an orderly room versus a disordered room—up to their individual behaviors in work, study, and social environments, and the structure of society and the foundation of the social system; that is, the structure that originates from a special order that is governed by a specific philosophy. All of these fall under "and organize your affairs" which Amir al-Mu'minin (peace be upon him) expressed in this part of his will.

Before mentioning order, he discussed piety. At the beginning of the will, piety is mentioned—"I advise you to have piety towards God and not to seek the world, even if it seeks you"—but after two lines, he again states: "I advise you and all my children and family and whoever receives my letter to have piety towards God and to organize your affairs"; here he repeats piety. This may indicate that an order in personal life and the system of public and social life of humans is desirable, which originates from piety and is accompanied and harmonized with piety. Thus, this is a general will for all of us to observe order and planning in our personal and family lives, in our educational and administrative tasks, and in the professions we have in society. These are primarily individual orders; however, at the societal level, we must also observe order. Everyone, wherever they are, should consider themselves obliged to observe social order. This is a public etiquette for us at the societal level; everyone is a partner in this regard.

Observing laws, maintaining brotherhood and kindness, not being greedy, not infringing upon the rights of others, and respecting time—both one's own time and that of others—observing regulations in traffic and movement and financial and commercial matters, and similar issues, all exemplify order. A significant example of order is that there should be harmony between our actions in society and our thoughts, beliefs, and slogans. One of the very dangerous forms of disorder is when in a society the ideological and belief foundations that the society believes in are one thing, but the behaviors that should be formed based on these rules and beliefs do not conform to those beliefs and thoughts and foundations. This creates a kind of duplicity and hypocrisy in society and is very dangerous.

Mentioning the name of Islam and repeating it, but in practice having no belief in Islamic foundations; presenting the name of human rights as a basis and ideological rule, but in practice not observing human rights—this is unfortunately one of the great calamities of humanity today at the international level—bringing up the name of freedom, but in practice not respecting the freedom of others; mentioning the name of law and lawfulness, but in practice not adhering to the law, are among the very bad characteristics and one of the prominent and dangerous examples of disorder. Of course, those responsible for creating or implementing regulations and laws must observe this more; the general public must also pay attention to this in their public observances.

The second matter is "reconciliation among yourselves." The reconciliation of hearts that Amir al-Mu'minin (peace be upon him) expresses in his important will is not merely a superficial coalition where two groups and two factions make a contract over something and form a superficial coalition; it is something deeper; that is, between each other, hearts should be pure; minds should be optimistic towards each other, and there should be no aggression or harm from anyone or any faction towards another group.

In this sentence, after stating "and reconcile among yourselves," he cites the words of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and states: "For I heard your grandfather say, 'Reconciliation among people is better than general prayer and fasting';" that is, the virtue of reconciling among people—bringing hearts closer and making minds optimistic towards each other—is greater than any prayer or fasting. If someone performs a recommended prayer or fasts a recommended fast, or strives for reconciliation among people, the latter is superior. This is also something we need very much today.

One of the things that the enemies of the Iranian nation have seriously pursued since the beginning of the revolution is to create animosity among the groups of society towards each other; whether political groups, religious groups, or various classes. Over time, colonialism, especially British colonialism—when it dominated all regions of the Middle East and our country and other countries—pursued this policy; then others learned from it. The Americans are also doing the same today; the enemies of the Iranian nation have this in their agenda: to create animosity among hearts and to turn classes away from each other.

At the beginning of the revolution, thanks to the reformist cry of the Imam and the reformist movement of the revolution, hearts and classes came closer together. For years, the divisions that existed between classes before the revolution no longer exist. Between clerics and students, between military and civilian, between intellectuals and merchants, there were traditional divisions that had been worked on for years; however, these divisions were repaired, diminished, or eliminated after the revolution. Today, they want to create these divisions again; just as they increase religious divisions and compel religious groups to display enmity towards each other to create a rift. The divisions that arise among the unified body of the people open the way for the enemy, and the enemy can exploit these differences to infiltrate within a society and a country and pursue its policies. Everyone must be very vigilant.

You see that today global propaganda is focused on several things: one of them is that within the Islamic Republic system, the officials and servants of the system and the country's operators are divided into two categories and names are assigned to each category; of course, some naively repeat the same words that they say, which are not actually their words, but the words of the enemy. When the foreign enemy divides the officials of the system into two categories, they announce that they agree with one category and oppose the other; one category is called reformist, and the other is called conservative. These are traps of the enemies; everyone must be aware not to fall into the trap of the enemy. Amir al-Mu'minin (peace be upon him) tells us: "Reconcile among yourselves"; purify your hearts and bring them closer together. Do not interpret differences of opinion as enmity. Differences of opinion and differences in taste, even differences in political and religious beliefs, as long as they do not relate to the practical foundations of the system, should not lead to enmity, separation, and hostility towards each other.

Amir al-Mu'minin (peace be upon him) dedicated his life—every hour of which was worth more than lifetimes—to guide and build society in his time, and to guide the Islamic and human society throughout history. Fortunately, our nation is an Alawi nation, and it believes in, loves, and is devoted to Amir al-Mu'minin (peace be upon him). The essence of this love is that we should heed the words of that great man; we should not consider these merely as dry and empty recommendations; we should place them before us for action and make decisions. That great man struggled in this path and was martyred in this path. "He was killed in the niche of his worship due to his strict justice"; his justice led to his martyrdom. His genuine, sincere, and heartfelt adherence to justice and the original principles that he pursued throughout his reign led to his life being threatened and his blessed blood being shed in the niche of worship. In the Ziyarat Ashura, we say to Imam Hussein (peace be upon him): "Peace be upon you, O avenger of God and son of His avenger"; that is, like the blood of Abu Abdullah (peace be upon him), the owner of the blood of Amir al-Mu'minin (peace be upon him) is also the Almighty God; because this blood was also shed for the realization of truth and the revival of justice on earth. We must strive to respect this pure blood and that great and sacred personality and that supreme divine guardian, and to try to observe these sayings and recommendations that are also addressed to us in our actions.

O Lord! Make us among the true followers of Amir al-Mu'minin (peace be upon him). O Lord! Keep us alive with the love and guardianship of that great man, and let us die with the love and guardianship of that great man, and keep us steadfast on the path that that noble man walked.

In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful By the time. Indeed, man is in loss. Except for those who believe and do righteous deeds and advise one another to truth and advise one another to patience. In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful Thanks be to God, the Lord of the worlds. And blessings and peace be upon our master and prophet, Abu al-Qasim al-Mustafa Muhammad, and upon his pure and chosen progeny, the infallible guides, especially Ali, the Commander of the Faithful, and the pure and chaste lady, the mistress of the women of the worlds, and Hasan and Husayn, the masters of the youth of Paradise, and Ali ibn Husayn, Zain al-Abidin, and Muhammad ibn Ali, and Ja'far ibn Muhammad, and Musa ibn Ja'far, and Ali ibn Musa, and Muhammad ibn Ali, and Ali ibn Muhammad, and Hasan ibn Ali, and the awaited successor, the Mahdi. Your proofs upon Your servants and Your trusted ones in Your lands. And send blessings upon the leaders of the Muslims, the protectors of the oppressed, and the guides of the believers. I advise you, O servants of God, and myself to have piety towards God.

Once again, I invite and recommend all dear brothers and sisters attending the prayer to observe piety and to be vigilant about their behavior, speech, thoughts, and actions in all circumstances.

What needs to be addressed in this sermon is a look at the transformations in the Islamic world and the important issues that Muslims are facing today. There will also be a brief reference to our own issues within the country, which are of course not unrelated to global issues. In the Islamic world, what is clearly visible today is the hostile and violent stance taken by the centers of power of global arrogance, primarily by the United States, towards the Muslim world. Of course, sometimes they try to superficially say that they have no issue with Muslims; however, these methods are ineffective because in practice and speech, especially in the past couple of years, they have repeatedly shown that they harbor deep animosity towards Muslims and Islamic societies. Today, it may be difficult to find any Islamic country that is safe and immune from the provocations and various harms of the United States and global arrogance. Arab countries, even those that have traditional friendships with the United States, are today under various pressures and harassment.

As it appears from the statements of American officials—these words and phrases emerge in their speeches and interviews—their goal is to rid the region, which happens to be where the Islamic world is located and is unparalleled in terms of strategic location and natural resources—especially oil—of the nuisance called Islam and Islamic thought and motivations altogether and to take complete control over it. These statements are not mere analysis. Once, we presented these statements as analysis and said they oppose Islam; however, today these statements are indeed news of what exists and what is happening, and they confess to it.

The real reason for this enmity is that today the arrogant power of the United States is increasingly eager to expand its power and influence, and as we said, the Persian Gulf region—specifically—the Middle East and almost all Islamic regions, and in a sense all Islamic areas are among the regions that if the arrogant power of the United States can bring them under its influence, it will no longer have any headaches regarding oil and gas—which are essentially the lifeblood of the current industrial world—and regarding political and geographical positions.

The claim of human rights and the promotion of democracy and freedom in the world, and the words that American leaders repeat in their official speeches, no one in the world believes. These are slogans that have become very ineffective. The slogan of supporting human rights or the slogan of promoting democracy in the world, which today the President of the United States and others repeat in their speeches, is not believable for the world. They have collaborated with bloodthirsty dictators to such an extent and have helped them to secure their interests that today this American rhetoric is completely unacceptable to everyone—not only to us, who have known these matters for years—but to all. Even the greed and expansionism of the United States has led European countries to openly confront the United States regarding some issues because they also realize this goal and feel threatened.

In the case of Iraq—about which I will briefly speak later—the Americans wanted to create a bloody and protracted war in this region unconditionally. Of course, they are still not dissuaded from this idea; however, it did not happen as they initially wanted to enter unrestrainedly, and they could not act in that manner. Their goal was to attack Iraq and create a bloody situation for the people of this country at any cost, and under this pretext, to seize Iraq's oil resources. First, they wanted to recover the costs they incurred in this attack from Iraq's oil—meaning they would impose the war themselves, initiate the killings themselves, but take the money from the people of Iraq!—and then have control over Iraq's oil and establish another foothold in the Persian Gulf region. The goals of the United States are entirely colonial, arrogant, greedy, anti-human rights, and against the rights of nations. The Europeans are aware of this and have temporarily halted the United States through methods they could employ in the United Nations and elsewhere. Therefore, the main factor and cause of the movement against Islam in our region today is that they oppose Islam and fear it; they feel that with the existence of Islamic thought, the Pharaoh-like and tyrannical control they wish to establish over these regions and to suck the material and spiritual wealth from them is impossible. Thus, they perceive Islam as their real adversary and fight against it.

The main reason for their enmity with our country and nation is the same point. You see that since the victory of the revolution until now—nearly twenty-four years have passed—the Americans have never ceased their enmity with the nation, country, and the Islamic Republic, and have not paused for a moment from their hostility; the reason for this is the same. This was a secure political and economic base for the Americans; however, the Islamic thought and faith of this nation awakened them, and they were able to cut off the hand of this greedy, arrogant, oppressive, and plundering tyrant thanks to Islam. In fact, Islam has dealt the greatest blow to American arrogance in our country. Therefore, they harbor the greatest animosity and act without restraint.

Of course, be aware that today the Americans, like all humans and entities that are intoxicated by power—who are usually prone to making mistakes due to their intoxication—make grave errors. They are intoxicated by power and do not understand what they are doing; thus, they commit significant mistakes, and these mistakes will ultimately undermine their position. In the not-so-distant future, these grave mistakes will bring the United States to its knees. The situation is not as they portray it. Their loudspeakers and propagandists in various corners create the impression that "there is no other choice; America is an overwhelming power, and we must accommodate it and find a way to coexist with it"; however, this is not the case. This overwhelming power makes mistakes due to its intoxication, and this mistake creates a very dangerous pitfall beneath it.

Of course, in Friday prayers and in meeting with you dear worshippers, I do not wish to engage in political analysis; rather, I want to clarify the truth and the essence of the matter for our dear nation. Their enmity towards Islamic Iran is because they have received the greatest blow from Islam here. This blow could have been repeated in other countries; as the awakening in the Islamic world has occurred thanks to the awakening of Muslims in our country. Today, the very important issue of the awakening of the Palestinian nation, which has effectively placed the United States and Israel in a complete deadlock, has arisen due to the awakening of the Iranian nation; otherwise, before this, no one imagined that the Palestinian nation could do something to challenge Israel and the usurping Zionists and the United States. Until this period, such a thing had not happened as is occurring today in occupied Palestine. The awakening of Muslim nations in other countries is the same.

Today, the spirit of hatred towards the United States and its interventions and towards the puppets of the United States in countries is growing day by day in the Islamic world. The desire for dignity that comes from Islam is being revived and growing among nations day by day. What they feared was that the Islamic Revolution of Iran would be repeated in other countries. They tried to prevent this in various ways; however, they could not stop the spread of Islamic thought and Islamic awakening. The Islamic awakening has spread throughout the Islamic world; we must pay attention to this point.

The Iranian nation must know what a great task it has accomplished. Naturally, in such circumstances, the enemies will concentrate all their efforts against the Islamic Republic. How will they do this? They will not succeed through military attacks; they know this themselves. They have experienced coups and methods of overthrowing and found that they do not work. One way remains for them, and that is to infiltrate within the nation; to spread thoughts and motivations against Islam along with slander, insult, and false accusations against the Islamic Revolution; gradually to cool the hearts of the people towards the fountain of inspiration and abundance that has compelled them to move and resist over the years. This is among their main tasks and plans. They themselves have referred to this movement as "collapse" and have said we want the Islamic system to collapse! What does collapse mean? It means to create doubt, hesitation, and indecision among the people regarding the ideals of the revolution and to ensure that the people do not provide the necessary support for the system. This is the enemy's policy.

I have repeatedly told the Iranian nation; I mentioned it in this Friday prayer one or two years ago that more important than recognizing the enemy is recognizing the enmity and the methods of their enmity. If a person knows how the enemy enters, they will be vigilant. Everyone knows the enemy. Today, the enemy of the Iranian nation and the enemy of its independence and freedom is the arrogant and haughty government of the United States. There is no doubt about this; they themselves confess to this. Of course, sometimes they say, flattering and hypocritically, that we are not against the Iranian nation; however, in fact, their main opposition is with the Iranian nation; because it is the Iranian nation that initiated this great uprising; it is the Iranian nation that provides sincere and honorable support for Islam; it is the Iranian nation that has prevented the United States from coveting; otherwise, if the Iranian nation were not supportive of the system and the officials, could the officials stand against these excesses? We know this enemy; however, we must also recognize the methods of enmity. Today, the method of enmity is to create discord and hatred and animosity among the people; to create disillusionment regarding Islamic ideals; to divert the slogans of the people and to propose slogans that have no compatibility with the great movement of the people.

In many countries around the world—not everywhere—we find elites who are trained by the centers of global arrogance. These were present during the British, the Soviets, and today they are with the Americans. They select elites, scholars, and educated individuals and, through bribery and methods they know, place them as their spokespersons within countries. Their job is to speak their words, repeat them, and argue for their ideas. Such individuals have existed in our country as well; they exist today and have been present since the beginning of the revolution. They have loudspeakers to speak for them and repeat their opinions and words.

Our nation has clearly expressed what it seeks. The day our nation stood behind the Imam—whether during the revolution or during the eight years of sacred defense—and sacrificed hundreds of thousands of its youth in this path, it clarified what it seeks. The nation did not seek Western democracy. Our Muslim nation and those who endured hardships and lashes in prisons during the reign of the tyrant did not seek Western republicanism and the atheistic cultures of the West and the false democracy of the West and East. The mothers who sacrificed their children—sometimes two sons, three sons, four sons—or their sons-in-law and husbands without flinching and felt proud did not seek Western democracy and democratic republics and the like. The true charter of the revolution and the genuine demand of the people is what is reflected in our constitution—especially in its initial principles. The people sought spiritual growth and material welfare under the shadow of Islam and thanks to Islam and the governance of Islamic regulations; they still seek the same today. We do not find any nation like the Iranian nation that has signed its commitment to its spiritual and divine ideals with the blood of hundreds of thousands of martyrs. Our own nation has not accomplished such a great task in the past as it has in this period. We have seen the plight and humiliation of countries that have experienced Western democracy and how, in the name of democracy, the greedy hands of the West, especially the United States, have penetrated into their bodies and souls and plundered everything. Our people did not seek this kind of democracy. Today, our nation seeks the realization of Islamic ideals, which primarily include justice, spirituality, true freedom, and independence from the evils of foreign and aggressive powers. These are the things that our nation seeks, for which it has made sacrifices, and it will continue to make sacrifices for them. The nation must be vigilant and alert so that the enemy cannot infiltrate its ranks with insidious methods—whether security, political, or propaganda.

The official and legal charter of the revolution and the country is our constitution. Everything necessary for the administration of the nation's affairs is firmly and solidly present in this charter. The spiritual charter of the revolution is the will of the Imam and the wills of the martyrs. Read these wills and see for what the martyrs, who sacrificed their lives in the battlefield, sacrificed and what they sought. How can anyone easily detach from the collective sacrifices and ideals of a nation?! These are our path; these are the foundations of our happiness that we must pursue.

When I look at the events of the past two or three years in our own country, I see that, thanks be to God, our nation is a loyal, sincere, faithful, and proud nation, and in these matters, it is truly among the exemplary nations, and despite the fact that there are shortcomings and errors among the officials of the country here and there—which of course no group is free from error and deficiency—overall, they are moving and planning and working towards these ideals. Despite all this, I see that the enemy has set its sights on parts of our country—mainly on our youth—because the youth generation in our country is a completely extensive generation, and this is one of our strengths that we have so many young people; whether students, those who are not yet students, those who have graduated, or those who are working and not studying. Our youth generation is one of the strengths of our country and our revolution. The enemy is also focused on this generation and on the impulsiveness and emotional nature of the youth. The youth must be very vigilant.

Two or three years ago, you saw what a group of truly corrupt individuals did with a number of students here at Tehran University and some other places! They stirred emotions, spread false rumors among them, distorted the facts, and accused the system and Islam. At that time, they were very hopeful that they could create turmoil and chaos in the country. However, the Iranian nation came forward with complete composure and strength—this is the strength of the nation—and did not allow it; but they still engage in such actions. Sometimes they find a pretext, and sometimes they carry out these actions without any pretext. Everyone must be vigilant. We must not create excuses for the enemy to exploit. We must not be provoked by the enemy.

Today, the Islamic system stands against the greed and excessive demands of the most arrogant of the arrogant in the world. The youth, by nature, seek justice and the realization of ideals. Every young person naturally positions themselves alongside the Islamic system—both our youth within our country and the youth of other countries—as we see it is indeed the case. Anyone who accuses the Islamic system— which has risen against corruption, oppression, tyranny, and discrimination in the world—of being tyrannical and against freedom and human rights is either the enemy themselves or has been deceived by the enemy. Everyone—especially the youth—must pay attention to this.

Alongside this matter, it is also true that whenever a constructive movement arises in the country, the enemy stirs up provocations alongside it to prevent the Islamic Republic from carrying out constructive actions. For some time now, there have been serious discussions regarding science and research and their importance. In meetings with me—whether professors, students, or heads of scientific and academic centers—whenever they talk about university issues—which happens repeatedly—they discuss the importance of science and express their grievances about our backwardness in matters related to science, research, and so on. I have also repeatedly reminded the officials, and they have made good decisions and have done some work. Therefore, the movement towards revitalizing the market of science and research and nurturing talented minds in universities and scientific centers has started more seriously than before; however, sometimes you see that a pretext arises in the university to not only disrupt science and research but also to jeopardize the normal flow of universities! Who is behind this? Is this not the work of the enemy? At a time when the country is in dire need of having the youth pursue science and research and the system is planning for this and pursuing it more seriously than before, and this is a natural need that everyone feels, suddenly some individuals emerge and prevent the university, students, and researchers from their normal work or create disturbances.

Of course, it is clear that these actions will lead nowhere. Those who have pinned their hopes on being able to create problems for the system through such provocations and insidious actions must know that the wave of the people's will and determination is so strong that it will easily resolve these issues; however, ultimately, the atmosphere of tension and chaos in the country will harm the people, the officials, and the system. Those who unknowingly create the groundwork for these things and intensify them and create chaos must know that their responsibility is very heavy.

Today, the nation needs unity of word, continuous work, uninterrupted efforts in all constructive actions—especially scientific endeavors—and a struggle against corruption, discrimination, and injustice. These are among the obligatory tasks that fall upon all officials; whether governmental officials or judicial officials. Today is a day of work and effort for our people; it is not a day to sit and watch the reflections of the waves of the enemy's enmity here and pass them on to each other; they must be very vigilant.

Regarding global issues—as we mentioned—the arrogance is making grave mistakes. One of these mistakes is the situation that the United States has today in supporting the Zionist regime. Today, two phenomena can be seen in the Zionist regime: one is the violence and brutality that has gone beyond all limits. The brutality that the Zionists exhibit in their dealings with the rightful owners of the land of Palestine is truly an extraordinary and unprecedented story. The second point is that the Zionist regime is in a complete deadlock and has no way out. The mistake of the Americans is that in this situation, they openly and clearly support the Zionist regime and have given a blank check to Israel and its officials to do whatever they want and commit any crime they wish! This is among the irreparable mistakes of the Americans, and they will pay the price for it. The Palestinian nation has shown that it is a worthy and resilient nation; it has shown that one can stand and resist against a tyrannical and ruthless regime like the Zionist regime with empty hands. This is also a lesson for other nations.

Today, we all have a duty to support the Palestinian people both morally and materially. Currently, the nearest opportunity for support is next Friday, which is the last Friday of the month of Ramadan. Let me also mention that today is the sixteenth of the month. Therefore, if Thursday is the first of the month—which is currently the case, as nothing else has been established and the religious obligation is to consider Thursday as the first of the month—next Tuesday will be the nineteenth of the month, and the night of Tuesday—the night of the nineteenth—is the night of worship, when, God willing, the believers will fulfill their duties during the nights of Qadr. Next Friday will also be the twenty-third of the month, which is the last Friday of the month and the Day of Quds. God willing, the presence of our nation next Friday—which is the Day of Quds—will be a blow to the enemy.

The week of Basij is also approaching, and all the people of Iran will consider honoring the Basij as one of their duties, God willing. The great popular Basij is one of the great divine blessings.

We hope that the Almighty God will make us aware of what our duty is and what we will be questioned about, and grant us success in fulfilling it.
