Statements in Meeting with the President of Namibia
In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
We are pleased to meet Mr. Sam Nujoma again. Previously, we saw him as an active element in the struggle; but this time, thanks be to God, we meet him as a successful figure who has reached the presidency of his country and has been able to lead his country to a conclusion. Of course, success in liberating the country is the first step; God willing, you will also succeed in the subsequent steps and be able to build your country and establish a just system there.
With effort, many problems can be overcome. The prospect of overcoming your internal and economic problems today is not much more difficult than the prospect that was envisioned during the days of exile and distance from your country for independence and the formation of an independent republic. In those days, many who looked at the appearances of affairs did not think that with the power that had arisen against the oppressed nations of southern Africa, the Namibian nation could stand on its own feet and become independent. Of course, we were always hopeful; both regarding your nation and regarding all the issues and problems of the nations in the world that are oppressed. Even now, our belief is the same: if small nations surrounded by various problems strive and unite with each other and stand against the bullying of great powers, they can advance their affairs. Our own nation is a clear example that, with perseverance, persistence, self-confidence, and reliance on God, has been able to bring its affairs to a good conclusion, thanks be to God. We are interested in the fate of oppressed and persecuted nations and have always cooperated with the nations of southern Africa and with yourselves, and we hope to continue this cooperation in the future. God willing, this journey will be a good and successful one for you.
May you be successful and supported
