Statements at the End of the Mourning Ceremony for Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him)
I have no remarks for today's program; thanks be to God, you have benefited, everyone has heard, and I too have listened and gained from it. In any case, these meetings, these gatherings, these reminders should strengthen us on the path ahead. They should affirm our resolve and make it steadfast.
In prayer, you recite: "O God, grant me vast knowledge and firm resolve..." We must have a strong and enduring will on this path. The path is the right one; the goal is a very lofty one, and the actions of today's youth, our people, our brothers and sisters, in moving along this blessed path of the revolution and the Islamic Republic, God willing, is a beloved movement of God, pleasing to God; however, what is important and what we all must keep in mind is stability on this path; stability on this path!
In two places in the Quran, it says "Istiqam" (be steadfast); to be steadfast means to maintain stability on this path and not to be influenced by various factors. The path is not an easy one; the path of God, the path of striving in the way of God, the path of establishing truth and justice, the path to achieving an Islamic civilization and a true Islamic system and Islamic society is a difficult one; it is a path that the prophets traversed with great effort and made progress.
Today, thanks be to God, when the Iranian nation looks back, it sees numerous successes. The future is also promising and hopeful; there is no doubt about this. However, the path is not an easy one; it is a winding path, a path full of ups and downs, a path where some may, due to encountering adverse factors, lose their resolve and determination; your effort should be to not let your resolve and determination diminish on this path.
Day by day, God willing, may you become more steadfast.
Peace be upon you and God's mercy and blessings.
