In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful O Turner of hearts and sights. O Manager of night and day. O Transformer of years and conditions. Transform our state to the best state.

Peace be upon the pure and chaste, Fatimah al-Masumah, daughter of the Messenger of God, may God’s peace and blessings be upon him and his family. And peace be upon the Supreme Guardian of God, may our souls be sacrificed for him, and may God hasten his reappearance.

I congratulate the New Year to all Iranian families and individuals of Iranian descent in every corner of the world. May your holiday be blessed, dear compatriots. Especially, I extend my congratulations to the dear families of martyrs, to the esteemed disabled veterans, to their honorable families, and to all the self-sacrificers, and I honor the memory of our great martyrs and our dear Imam.

The year that has begun - year 1395 - is blessed at both its beginning and end with the holy name of Lady Zahra (peace be upon her). The beginning of this year coincides with the birth of that great lady in the lunar months, as does the end of this year. Therefore, we hope that, God willing, year 1395 will be a blessed year for the Iranian nation, and that we will learn from the spirituality of that great lady, from her guidance, and from her life.

The year that has passed - year 1394 - like all other years, was a mixture of sweetness and bitterness, ups and downs; this is the nature of life; from the bitterness of the Mina incident to the sweetness of the 22nd of Bahman march and the elections of the 7th of Esfand; in the experience of the JCPOA, from the hopes it raised to the concerns that accompany it; all of these were part of the events of the year, and all years are like this.

The years and days of human life consist of opportunities and threats. Our art should be to take advantage of opportunities and to turn threats into opportunities. Year 1395 is ahead of us. In this year, as always, there will be both opportunities and threats. Everyone must strive to utilize the opportunities of this year in the true sense of the word, so that the country experiences noticeable changes from the beginning to the end of this year.

There are hopes for year 1395. When one looks at the overall situation, one observes hopes. Of course, to realize these hopes, effort must be made, round-the-clock work must be done, and continuous endeavor is required. The main issue is that the Iranian nation must be able to do something that protects itself from the vulnerabilities against the threats of the enemies and their hostilities. We must do something so that we are not vulnerable to the threats of the enemies. We must reduce vulnerability to zero.

In my opinion, the issue of the economy is the top priority. That is to say, when one looks, among the prioritized issues, the most urgent and closest is the issue of the economy. If, with God’s grace, both the nation and the government and various officials can carry out correct, timely, and precise actions regarding the economy, there is hope that in other matters, such as social issues, social harms, moral issues, and cultural issues, they will also have an impact.

In the issue of the economy, what is important and fundamental is the issue of domestic production; the issue of creating jobs and alleviating unemployment; the issue of economic dynamism and combating recession; these are the pressing issues for the people; these are the things that people feel and demand; and the statistics and statements of the officials themselves show that these demands and requests of the people are appropriate and timely.

If we want to solve the problem of recession, solve the problem of domestic production, want to address unemployment, and want to control inflation, the remedy for all of these is encompassed in the framework of economic resistance and resilient economy. The resilient economy includes all of these. It is possible to combat unemployment with a resilient economy; it is possible to combat recession; it is possible to control inflation; it is possible to stand against the threats of the enemies; it is possible to create many opportunities for the country and to utilize opportunities; the condition is that work and effort be made for the resilient economy.

The report that our brothers in the government provided to me shows that they have done extensive work; however, these works are preliminary; they are actions in the form of circulars and directives to various agencies; these are preliminary works; but what is necessary to continue is to take action and to show the results of the work on the ground to the people; this is our duty; which, God willing, I will elaborate on in my speech to our dear nation.

Therefore, what I choose as this year’s slogan is "Resilient Economy; Action and Work." This is the direct and clear path towards what we need. Of course, we do not expect that this action and work will solve all problems within a year; but we are confident that if such action and work is carried out in a planned and correct manner, we will observe the effects and signs of it by the end of this year. I thank all those who have worked and are working in this path.

Once again, I greet and congratulate our dear nation and ask for God’s blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad and upon the great Imam al-Mahdi (peace be upon him and may our souls be sacrificed for him).

Peace be upon you and God's mercy and blessings.
