Statements in Meeting with Organizers of the National Congress Commemorating the Late Ayatollah Hadi Taalehi
In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
We are very grateful to the brothers from Hamadan who, with their lofty efforts, have, thanks be to God, taken charge of this worthy task: commemorating the late Mr. Taalehi (may God have mercy on him). Well, personalities like Mr. Taalehi in Hamadan are hidden gems that have been placed in a corner. Now, the people of Hamadan, the youth of Hamadan, and the Hezbollahis of Hamadan have greatly benefited from him and the late Mr. Aqa Najafi, but the capacity to benefit from these great figures and others like them is much greater than this. Truly, someone like the late Mr. Aqa Najafi or the late Mr. Taalehi could have been the source of a great movement in Hamadan.
Of course, Hamadan, as the gentlemen have pointed out, has a soil rich in mysticism; it is like this; from the likes of the late Akhund Mollah Hossein Qoli Hamadani and his students and the late Sheikh Mohammad Bahari; this late gentleman, Ayatollah Ali Arab, was a student of the late Bahari and among the students of the late Akhund Mollah Hossein Qoli Hamadani. Of course, Mr. Taalehi did not understand these figures; that is to say, the late Sheikh Mohammad Bahari, although he came from Najaf to Hamadan and passed away in Hamadan, with his tomb now in Bahar, did not understand the late Mr. Bahari; however, he understood that movement, that lineage. In fact, the late Mr. Taalehi is the remaining sword (Baqiyat al-Saif) of this lineage of great mystics of Hamadan. And I am astonished when I see that same spirit in the youth of Hamadan. Well, when one looks at the biography of our dear martyr - martyr Chitsazian - one observes that same mystical inclination there; that is to say, it is truly like this; a movement in the realm of meaning seems to arise that shakes the hearts of the old and young and draws them to itself; like a column of light - extending from the heavens to the earth, and thus everyone benefits from it according to their own merit and capability - one observes such a thing.
Of course, I once visited the late Mr. Taalehi in Hamadan; I did not have a close relationship or interaction with him; I visited him once during one of my trips to Hamadan during the Sacred Defense era; however, we knew that the Hezbollah youth and the fighters and those who were in the front lines and the battlefield were familiar with him. And it is strange: an old man who is about seventy (years old) or more, surrounded by all these young enthusiasts and lovers of the front lines and such; and they were convinced by him; see, this is important. A good cleric, a good religious scholar, shines like a sun; when they come close to him, they naturally become illuminated; and he was like this. The late Mr. Aqa Najafi was also like this; he truly illuminated the space.
We hope, God willing, that the Almighty God continues these blessings. You have done very well to establish and launch this congress. If you can, provide the people with his statements and, for example, the recordings of the sessions he held; and make his advice and the moral lessons of the late Mr. Taalehi available to the people; in my opinion, this will be very beneficial for those who become informed. Honoring these great figures is honoring religion, ethics, mysticism, spirituality, and truth; the more you honor these, you have truly honored the divine truths that are necessary for our country. Fortunately, today across the country, there are many young cultural enthusiasts; they are abundant; we must utilize them, firstly to expose these spiritual treasures, and secondly to disseminate [knowledge] and educate the youth and adolescents on this straight path.
May God, God willing, grant you success, elevate their ranks; may the Almighty God unite the great martyrs of this region with the great figures of religion, the saints of religion, the martyrs of the early Islam, and the martyrs of Karbala; may God, God willing, unite us with them.
Peace be upon you and God's mercy and blessings.
