Statements at the Ceremony for Assigning Duties to the Ground Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps to the Commander-in-Chief of the IRGC
In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I am very pleased that today, definitively and officially, the duties of the Ground Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps are being communicated. It can truly be said that a major part of the IRGC is constituted by the Ground Force. Just as in the past, the numerous efforts made by the brothers of the IRGC were mainly centered around the Ground Force. Of course, the Ground Force of the IRGC sometimes also acts as a naval force and undertakes maritime tasks; however, your truly outstanding efforts and struggles in the ground section of the IRGC are among the clearest and most brilliant records and memories of these twelve years since the victory of the Revolution. Now, this section, with a clear and specific set of duties, will, God willing, continue its work.
Alongside the Ground Force and among the other sections of the IRGC—each of which has its own particular importance—the Basij section and the Resistance Force hold utmost importance. We hope that, God willing, the brothers in the force—Mr. Izadi and other brothers—with the sincerity and effort and struggle they possess, and with the guidance and assistance provided by the command and the command staff of the IRGC, can align these duties precisely with the realities of the Ground Force and organize them as prescribed, as soon as possible, and provide sufficient assurance to the officials and those awaiting and expecting from the IRGC that the Ground Force, as always, is ready for sacrifice and to fulfill its great duties.
In drafting these duties, both the brothers of the IRGC staff worked very hard, and Mr. Dr. Firouzabadi and Mr. Forouzandeh truly devoted time. I observed that they, like a major national plan, were making great efforts in rearranging these units and locations of deployment to meet your expectations.
Convey my greetings to all the brothers. God willing, you will be successful.
Peace be upon you and God's mercy and blessings
