Statements After Planting Trees on Tree-Planting Day

Tree-Planting Day is both a herald of spring and a reminder of the importance of vegetation cover in the country. The main issue is that in the public culture of the country, the matter of trees, plants, vegetation cover, forests, and pastures should find its rightful place. Today, we suffer damages due to negligence towards forests, negligence towards pastures, and a lack of proper attention to vegetation cover throughout the country. If, in public culture, the preservation of vegetation cover, trees, plants, and greenery finds its proper place, I believe the country will benefit more.

This tree-planting of ours - for example, planting two fruitful trees, two fruit trees here - serves as a symbol. We want the planting of trees, the preservation of trees, and giving importance to trees, plants, and vegetation cover to become a public norm and a public culture in the country.

Sometimes it is heard that tree-rich areas are damaged due to the construction of buildings and similar activities; the responsible agencies in the country must seriously stand against this and not allow it. It is also heard that there is negligence regarding the planting of some harmful saplings in certain areas of the country; this issue must be given great importance. We have heard that in some centers of the country, in order to prevent desertification, some saplings and seedlings that are unsuitable and harmful are being planted! It is very necessary for the responsible agencies to ensure that such incidents do not occur. Conversely, serious efforts must be made to preserve pastures and forests. Relevant agencies, including supervisory bodies like the judiciary, must have utmost diligence regarding encroachments on forests.

And we hope that, God willing, with the expansion of the spirit of love for trees and green spaces and the appreciation of green spaces, the country and the people will reap greater benefits from this area in the future, and God Almighty will, God willing, grant blessings, and the blessings of plants and greenery will be abundant for the country, God willing.
