In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

I sincerely thank all the dear brothers from the tribes who, with the special interest and sincerity of this faithful group, have come from various parts of the country and expressed their passionate and sincere feelings. I hope the Almighty God grants all of you, the border guards of the country and brave and patient people, success and strengthens your powerful hands in fulfilling the duties you have.

The issue of tribes in our country is one of the sensitive and important issues. Throughout the country, especially in important and sensitive border areas, tribal communities have resided since ancient times and live with different dialects and customs. At the same time, they share common characteristics, which are the same authentic Islamic characteristics of the Iranian nation. The corrupt and corrupting culture of the West has influenced some people in parts of the country and changed their good Islamic behavior and morals; however, it did not affect these faithful, passionate, and sincere people, and the hands of foreigners did not reach the depths and corners of the lives of the tribes and clans of our country.

I personally have had close acquaintance with many of these dear ones and have gradually and intermittently observed their lives over the years. Our tribes are honest, sincere, truthful, brave, and far from deceit and trickery. These characteristics are considered an important asset for the country.

In the early months of the imposed war, during the days of the front's solitude, I observed that the tribes, with their own rifles—which were very simple and primitive—or with the weapons given to them, came. They filled an important part of the war front and, with their courage, gave spirit to everyone. In the border areas, our native tribes stood like a mountain against the enemy and reclaimed the land and rivers that the occupiers had seized, or prevented the enemy from reoccupying them.

The dear Imam, whose heart was truly inspired by divine inspirations in certain instances and whose words seemed to be based on revelation, said in one sentence: Tribes are the reserves of the revolution. A reserve means an asset that the revolution has at its disposal to spend when needed. Each tribe must live and work with this spirit and feeling.

The zealous tribes on the borders must take the duty of border guarding seriously and subdue the enemy that seeks to invade. Of course, we find it very unlikely that the enemies would think of invading the borders again—this would be foolish for them—but a nation must be awake and protect its borders, and you tribes must play a significant role in this vigilance and protection.

The faithful, zealous, and brave border-dwelling tribes must defend the borders of the Islamic Republic just as they defend their homes, regions, and homeland. As long as our zealous tribes fully maintain the spirit of border guarding, the enemy will not dare to invade the borders. The tribes residing in non-border areas and near the center of the country also have an important role in maintaining the country's public security. Wherever you are, you are soldiers of Islam. Our brave tribal brothers, wherever they are, must know that today the human duty of every faithful tribe in the country is to defend the revolution and the Islamic Republic system, which must be done with strength and power.

Another responsibility that the tribes have is to produce and meet some of the country's needs. Tribes have long been a productive class and a source of blessing for the country. In a period when the officials of the Islamic Republic system are trying to rebuild the country, the tribes must maintain and enhance this capability. Of course, the officials are obliged to attend to the affairs of the tribes and resolve their potential problems.

We must all join hands so that, with the help of the Lord and through our work and effort, we can fully insure the country and the Islamic Republic system. We believe and clearly see that the enemy's plots and conspiracies against Islam and the Islamic Republic system will never succeed as in the past.

May God, God willing, grant you goodness, blessing, and grace, and support you, and grant us success so that we can fulfill our duties towards Islam and the Islamic Republic system. Convey our warm greetings to the other tribes in your regions.

Peace be upon you and God's mercy and blessings
