Speech at the Allegiance Ceremony of Numerous Sisters from Various Cities

In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

I sincerely thank all the dear sisters who have come from near and far, and I offer my condolences to you on the heartbreaking passing of our dear Imam Khomeini (may his soul be sanctified).

The presence of women in all stages of the revolution was vibrant, powerful, and strong, and they were able to bear heavy burdens and overcome great adversities. Throughout the history of Islam, women like ours have been rare and scarce. Certainly, if it were not for the support and backing of the women of our country, these victories would not have been achieved during the war and in all stages of the revolution before that.

How many mothers, wives, and sisters of martyrs and other survivors showed perseverance and stability during the war and before it, which sometimes astonishes one; because we rarely see such examples in the history of Islam. In other stages too, the presence of sisters was a powerful presence. In the Basij and other revolutionary institutions, we know sisters who have taken on heavy responsibilities and are engaged in work.

The women of our country have been the backbone of the men's movement throughout the revolution. If it were not for the strong emotions and faith of the women, many of our men might not have found the strength to be present in the difficult fields of various struggles. Today, the same responsibility rests on the shoulders of the women.

You who know that our enemies are intent on striking the revolution and are aware of how valuable the unity that has been created in our country is, and how important the presence of our people in the arenas of the revolution is, must preserve this presence and encourage your men, children, husbands, and brothers to be strongly present in all arenas and to maintain unity and support the cherished ideals of the revolution, which our great Imam expected us to uphold.

I pray for all of you sisters. I hope God will bestow His grace upon you and grant you success, and God willing, accept these efforts from all of you and make the sacred spirit of our Imam happy and satisfied.
