Appointment of Dr. Hassan Habibi and Hojjatoleslam Hassan Rouhani to Membership in the Expediency Discernment Council

Dear Dr. Hassan Habibi, First Vice President,

And dear Hojjatoleslam Dr. Hassan Rouhani,

Considering your extensive experience and profound knowledge in the country's affairs, and the successful trial demonstrated by your active participation in managing sections of the executive apparatus, I appoint you gentlemen to membership in the Expediency Discernment Council until the end of the current term. It is expected that, with the cooperation of other esteemed and capable members of that council, you will play an effective role in fulfilling the critical duties entrusted to that high council.
