Appointment of Brigadier General Reza Seifollahi to Command of the Islamic Republic Police Force

Brigadier General Reza Seifollahi

In view of the competence and capability you have demonstrated throughout your past services, and considering your revolutionary background and selfless services in critical military and police responsibilities, upon the recommendation of the honorable Minister of Interior, I appoint you to the command of the Islamic Republic Police Force. The important duties of this force, the most significant of which is maintaining order and security throughout the country and providing a peaceful and reassuring environment for our compatriots, necessitate that you employ all your abilities and commitment to enhance the activities of this force and utilize the cooperation of skilled, faithful, and revolutionary elements, and to build upon what previous officials have established. It is expected that your presence in this important responsibility will significantly increase the efficiency of this force.

I find it necessary to sincerely thank Brigadier General Mohammad Sohrabi, the former commander of the police force, whose sincere efforts in shaping this newly established organization are worthy of great appreciation. Along with prayers and good wishes, I appoint him to the membership of the military advisors group of the Commander-in-Chief.
