In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

My motivation for participating in this election is exactly the same as that of our dear people, which is to fulfill a religious, national, and revolutionary duty. We all feel that our participation in the elections means our involvement in the destiny of the country and the management of the country at various levels, which this time mainly concerns the Assembly of Experts and the Islamic Councils. In some cities, there are also by-elections for the Islamic Council. Therefore, this is a general motivation that, fortunately, our nation has felt deeply; hence, they participate in the elections. As for why I choose the beginning of the time for this task, it is because the right and good work should be done as soon as possible; like acts of worship, like the early prayer, and like other temporary tasks, the sooner one performs that task in the initial moments, the more virtuous it is; because one feels they have fulfilled their duty, and there are harms in delay; one protects oneself from those harms. This act is also symbolic. Starting the day with this duty is a symbolic act, and we hope that, God willing, the Almighty God grants us success and to all our nation so that they can carry out this great task and this heavy duty, and today, God willing, the people will perform this duty well in the hours ahead of them; they will be present at the ballot boxes and will participate.

As for the issue of the simultaneity of these elections, it is now an experience; it seems that so far it has not been bad; because it was intended that in two rounds, both the government apparatus and the people would mobilize one round for the councils and one round for the experts, to get all these organizations up and running. If these can be merged and conducted in one day, it seems that in terms of time, governmental resources, and public engagement, a kind of saving is achieved. Of course, I currently have no opinion regarding the elections for the Assembly and the presidency. Those should be discussed by the officials, and its aspects should be examined and decisions made, but what has been decided and occurred seems to us to be a good thing, not a bad one.
