Interview Before Hospitalization
If possible, could you please provide explanations regarding the ailment that led to your hospitalization?
In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. The issue is that about twenty years ago, I began experiencing stomach pain, which became severe after 1974. I consulted doctors, who sometimes said it was a duodenal ulcer, and at other times said it was a gastric ulcer. The first time I consulted a doctor for this illness was in prison. This process has continued since then, and I have been mindful of this gastrointestinal ulcer. This month, I experienced severe pain several times in succession, the last of which was on the final day of Ramadan, coinciding with the night of Eid al-Fitr. The pain was severe, and the doctors alleviated it with strong painkillers. When thorough examinations were conducted, it was revealed that the pain was related to gallstones. Of course, this does not negate the previous diagnoses—meaning, for instance, that the gastrointestinal tract may also have issues—but the current pressing issue is the gallstones, which have prevented me from attending prayers. Mr. Hashemi mentioned during prayers that I was unwell; however, it was just this pain, not an extraordinary ailment. It was severe pain that also brought about significant weakness and lethargy, and finally, the doctors said there was no choice but to undergo surgery. I wanted to have the surgery sooner, but I delayed it due to Mr. Hashemi's trip abroad, waiting for him to leave and return before proceeding. Now, it is planned that, God willing, the surgery will be performed in the coming hours. The surgery will be conducted in the short term, but I was told I would need to stay in the hospital for about two days.
May you be successful and supported.
